Individual Counselling in St Ives
Humanistic and CBT Counselling for adults
Beginning counselling can feel like a vulnerable step.
You may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, low, or
simply unsure about what's happening for you.
Counselling offers a calm, confidential space where you
can talk openly, feel heard, and explore your thoughts
and emotions at your own pace.
Counselling
Our approach to counselling draws on both Person Centred and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), and because relationships are often involved we use our knowledge of couple therapy.
Person Centred counselling focuses on creating a supportive, non-judgemental relationship, helping you build self-understanding, self-acceptance and emotional awareness. CBT offers practical tools to help you recognise unhelpful thought patterns, manage difficult emotions and develop healthier ways of coping.
Counselling may help if you are experiencing:
- Anxiety or constant worry
- Low mood or depression
- Relationship of attachment difficulties
- Stress, burnout or work related pressure
- Trauma or difficult past experiences
- Low self-esteem or lack of confidence
- Feeling stuck, overwhelmed or disconnected.
